Whatmore Mafusire is a seasoned legal practitioner and Senior Associate at Muhonde Attorneys. He joined the firm in September 2020 and was promoted to his current role in December 2021, a testament to his merit and commitment to legal excellence. Admitted to practice in 2016, Whatmore holds a Bachelor of Laws from Midlands State University and has also completed the Council for Legal Education’s three-year Compulsory Pupillage Training Programme.

Whatmore’s career includes extensive experience at some of Zimbabwe’s busiest law firms, including Mavhiringidze and Mashanyari, C. Nhemwa and Associates, and Matsikidze Attorneys-At-Law, among others. His core competencies span mining law, civil and commercial litigation, corporate advisory, and labour disputes. His keen grasp of legal frameworks allows him to draft precise legal documents and effectively represent clients in court.

He has been responsible for initiating and defending matters from inception to execution and is known for his rigorous analysis of legal issues. Notably, in 2020, he successfully prosecuted labour disputes before the African Union’s OAU Ad-Hoc Administrative Tribunal in Ethiopia—an extraordinary achievement reflecting his capability on international platforms.
